NO LIMIT RECORDS CELEBRATE TRU 2 DA GAME ALBUM 21 Year ANNIVERSARY MASTER P, C-MURDER AND SILKK THE SHOCKER
It was 21 years ago on February 18th of 1997 that Master P, C-Murder and Silkk the Shocker released the multi-platinum classic TRU 2 DA GAME album. The brothers formed one of the hottest Hip Hop groups in the country and represented the city of New Orleans as they took over the Rap industry. The album peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, leading with the single, “I Always Feel Like,” which samples Rockwell’s funk single “Somebody’s Watching Me” becoming an instant classic, taking over the streets and the Radio putting the brothers into the mainstream of music buyers. Other singles off of one of the first double-disc historical collection include “Eyes of a Killa” and “FEDz,” whose chorus samples Aaliyah’s R&B popular single, “If Your Girl Only Knew” taking the brothers’ careers to another level as No Limit Records independently dominated the music business industry. Thereafter, any CD branded with the notorious diamond encrusted tank logo was a movement for fans across the world.
