Master P’s motivation is to add some diversity onto the shelving space by placing minority-owned products in supermarkets. Master P stated, “Reginald Lewis is the pinnacle to what James and I are doing in the snack and packaged food business. As African Americans we have to stop looking at the mustard seed and see the tree. We don’t want this to stop at just us, we want to open the doors for African American and Latino entrepreneurs to be able to get their products on the shelves in the main chain stores. Product outweighs talent. We’re taking over the grocery stores. The more we make, the more we give. No idea is a wack idea. Start small and build. If I could play a role in a Hollywood film, it would be Reginald F. Lewis the movie. Salute to Reginald F. Lewis’s family. “Why Should White Guys Have All The Fun?” is an incredible book. I was motivated after reading it, and realized if they could do it, we can too. If you put your trust and faith in God, educate yourself, have a plan and put the work in, there’s no limit to your dreams. Wisdom is Power.”
