(New Orleans—March 23, 2022) Percy “Master P” Miller, Soldier Snacks, LA
Great and Team Hope are coming together to help the victims of the
horrific tornado that destroyed homes, left thousands without power and
injured multiple residents of New Orleans’ lower ninth ward and
surrounding areas Tuesday night. The collective is committed to bringing
relief and support to the residents of Percy’s hometown by providing
essential necessities to the often underserved area of the city.
Miller says “New Orleans and its residents are my heart. The people
have yet to recover from Hurricane Ida only to be devastated by another
natural disaster. Many can’t afford insurance with the elderly often
being the last to get the much needed help. The community that raised
me needs all of our help and we are stepping up to provide water, food
and essential goods to help ease some of the challenges. The volunteers
are presently on the front lines in the damaged areas, helping the
elderly complete property damage forms, providing eyeglasses as well as
wheelchairs. The residents of New Orleans are some of the strongest
people I know but when they are in need we all must answer their cries
for help.”
