
Louisiana Legislature Designates June 11th as Master P Day For His Many Accomplishments And Philanthropy The State Capitol Celebrated Coach P And The University of New Orleans Basketball Team.
The Louisiana Legislature celebrated Percy “Master P” Miller aka Coach P in the state capitol Baton Rouge, Louisiana for his impactful accomplishments and philanthropy by designating June 11th as Master P Day. Coach P is the President of Basketball Operations for the University of New Orleans. He is dedicated to helping others and inspiring them to uplift their communities. Coach P teaches financial literacy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
As a successful businessman and serial entrepreneur, his most significant contributions come through his philanthropic efforts. As Founder and Chairman of the Louisiana based, Team Hope Foundation™, he is deeply committed to improving the lives of youth and the elderly through programs designed to enhance their quality of life. As an ambassador for entertainment in the city of New Orleans, Miller has received widespread recognition for his contributions. He was appointed Youth Ambassador for the NAACP, dedicating time and resources to support the Joel John Scholastic Academy in Los Angeles. His accolades include two NAACP Awards for Community Service, the Social Justice Entertainer of the Year Award in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Certificates of Appreciation from the California State Assembly for his advocacy in civil, social, and economic rights. Additionally, Miller holds an honorary doctorate from Lincoln University and has received the Keys to the Cities of Memphis, Los Angeles, Louisville, Charlotte, Jackson, Houston, Gulfport, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
